Like giddy children the night before the big trip to Disney World, we couldn’t wait to spread the news of our impending launch of Clickfil. So before the details were ticked and tied on our website and before the trucks were ready to roll, we spilled our guts in a big way. We put up transit signs, wrapped a bus and branded ice cream trucks among other efforts to encourage people to visit clickfil.com so they could read for themselves the many benefits-to-be for Clickfil customers.
On our pre-launch website, we offered people the opportunity to sign up for one of ten free tanks of oil. Many, many people visited the website to see what the fuss was all about and some of those people signed up for our sweepstakes.

We’ve just finished editing our TV commercial and it made its debut on stations in the Boston area yesterday. You can also see it by watching the YouTube video version replicated above. The advertisement is having some fun with our nation’s desire to hunker down for the winter in blankets with sleeves. Did you know over 4 million people have purchased these fleecy wonders?

Bye, bye Mannequin Skywalker
The board was part of our Clickfil marketing campaign. The idea was that people will do all sorts of crazy things for $300 (including walk across the top of a billboard a la Phillipe Petit) though they could have saved $300 the easy way by signing up for heating oil on clickfil.com. You can see more crazy things by clicking the tab on top of this page, "What would you do for $300?".
We hoped he would capture attention, cause a smile or two, get some people talking. We did not anticipate the reaction. As soon as we heard, there had been a few calls to 911, we made the decision to take the mannequin down. So to those people who called 911 and to those who were concerned, we apologize.
On the other hand, we’ve also heard from quite a few people that they liked it; that it did make them smile. And so to those people, we thank you for your support.
